"Great book! A must read. Can't believe it's his first
publication. I cannot wait for the next edition in this series."

"Tarrant has exceeded my expectations. Ezekiel Carson is the most original
pulp creation in decades. He keeps himself alive by drinking the
blood of evil men and he keeps several canteens of blood available
to quench his thirst along the dusty trail.
"The action is fast paced - often furious - and this is one book
that fans of the western-horror-adventure genre won't be able to put
down. Tarrant demonstrates a command of the language and knows
precisely how to move a story along. His descriptions are as sharp
as Ezekiel's fangs, as explosive as a Colt belching flame and lead,
and far more entertaining than the usual western. Best of all,
"Blood Rider" is the first in a series called "Blood and Spurs." I'm
saddling up with Mark Tarrant from here on out. Or, as Tarrant
himself wrote in my copy's inscription, "Hit the bloody trail,
Amigo!" Sounds like a plan. The weird western genre doesn't get any
better than this!"
